Sports Premium
Sports Premium
At St. Michael Catholic Primary and Nursery School, we are committed to promoting healthy, active lifestyles and ensuring that every child has access to high-quality physical education, sport and physical activity.
The PE and Sport Premium is additional government funding provided to primary schools to improve the quality and breadth of PE, sport and physical activity. This funding enables us to enhance opportunities for all pupils, increase participation, develop staff expertise and embed physical activity as a positive and long-lasting part of everyday school life.
We use our PE and Sport Premium funding to strengthen our PE curriculum, enhance teaching and learning, extend extracurricular opportunities and create engaging, inclusive sporting experiences for all children. Our aim is to ensure that every pupil leaves St. Michael Catholic Primary and Nursery School with the skills, confidence and enthusiasm to enjoy sport and physical activity both now and in the future.
We are proud of the sporting culture within our school and remain committed to using this funding effectively to improve physical development, wellbeing, teamwork, resilience and lifelong participation in physical activity.
