Digital Leaders
Our Digital Leaders at St Michael's have a variety of important roles across the school.
They help to look after our technology and support both children and staff with digital devices and resources. As technology ambassadors, they encourage responsible and effective use of technology throughout our school community.
Responsibilities of a Digital Leader
- Ensuring iPads and laptops are stored neatly and plugged in so they are fully charged when needed.
- Regularly checking that photographs of children are removed from iPads in line with school procedures.
- Safely transporting laptops and iPads to and from classrooms.
- Helping to keep the I-Zone clean, tidy and welcoming, while encouraging respectful behaviour.
- Sharing news, updates and exciting developments in computing and technology with their classes.
- Supporting adults and children with technology when assistance is needed.
- Promoting online safety and responsible use of technology throughout the school.
Through these responsibilities, our Digital Leaders develop confidence, leadership skills and digital expertise while making a valuable contribution to the life of the school.
Who are we?
Our Digital Leaders are pupils who have shown enthusiasm, responsibility and confidence when using technology. They are role models who help promote safe, responsible and effective use of technology across the school.

Computing in St Michael's
We love Computing at St Michael's!
Our children take part in a wide range of exciting activities that help them develop their skills across the three strands of Computing:
- Digital Literacy – using technology safely, responsibly and effectively.
- Computer Science – understanding how computers work and creating programs through coding.
- Information Technology – using technology to create, organise and present information.
Through engaging lessons, practical projects and exciting competitions, our pupils develop the knowledge and skills they need to become confident digital citizens. Children learn how to use technology creatively, solve problems, work collaboratively and stay safe online.
We celebrate Computing throughout the year by taking part in events such as Safer Internet Day, coding challenges and digital projects that allow pupils to showcase their learning and creativity.
At St Michael's, we believe that Computing equips children with essential skills for the future and inspires them to become responsible, confident and innovative users of technology.
