Our Faith & Values
St Michael’s Catholic Primary School & Nursery
At St Michael’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery, our ethos is rooted in the teachings of Christ and the belief that every child is created and loved by God. As a close‑knit Catholic family, we place faith, compassion and community at the heart of all we do. Our mission is lived out daily through our core C.I.R.C.L.E. values — Church, Independence, Resilience, Care, Learning and Enjoyment — which guide every member of our community to grow, flourish and live with purpose.
We are committed to nurturing the whole child: academically, spiritually, emotionally and socially. Each child is recognised as a unique individual with God‑given gifts and potential. Through a rich and balanced curriculum, memorable experiences, and a warm, inclusive environment, we help pupils develop confidence, curiosity, resilience and a lifelong love of learning.
Our ethos is strengthened by the strong partnerships we build with families, staff and governors. Parents and carers are valued as essential partners in their child’s education; staff work collaboratively with high expectations and mutual respect; and governors play an active, supportive role in shaping our school’s direction and ensuring the best outcomes for all.
As a proud member of the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP), our community is united in placing Christ at the centre of our vision. Catholic Social Teaching (CST) further enriches our daily life, helping pupils live out the Gospel through love, service, justice and care for God’s creation. These principles come alive in our learning, relationships, leadership roles and outreach, teaching children that faith is expressed not only through prayer, but through action.
At St Michael’s, we are an “open‑hearted” community: we welcome, value and care for one another; we celebrate achievement; and we create an inclusive environment in which every child can thrive. Together — children, families, staff, governors and parish — we strive to grow in faith, serve others, and build a joyful, resilient and loving community inspired by Christ.
