We had a great turn out for our Macmillan Coffee afternoon and some lovely cakes were supplied as well. In total we raised £428.31 for this very worthy cause so thank you so much for all those parents, families and children who supported this event
We have had a wonderful Creative Week in school with lots of fun activities. We had a visiting artist who led some sessions on painting and clay modelling, we have done some natural art, we have visited a local Care home and carried outsome portrait drawing with the residents– everyone loved that! We have participated in some creative art as well taking part in dance and performance poetry. We had some of our art displayed in Victory Academy for an exhibition on Monday but of course parents are free to come in and see our art work displayed here at school in both our infant and junior halls this afternoon from 3pm! All are very welcome
We are also remembering the seasons and Harvest time as well. We had a whole school assembly on Tuesday and a lovely assembly led by Year 5 St Bartholomew’s class on Thursday with some excellent dance appreciating and thanking God for our marvellous bounty. We have a great display of harvest produce donated by families and ready for distribution to the homeless who really suffer especially at this time of year with the colder weather setting in
I am so bowled over by our parental generosity shown this week with cakes, fund raising for Macmillan and now harvest food produce– it is greatly appreciated.
Have a lovely weekend
