12th July 2019 Newsletter
We have had a super busy week and the fun continues into next week as well.
Last night and on Wednesday afternoon we were treated to our Y6 summer production- “Hairspray”, it was amazing, wonderful singing, acting, choreography, and costumes. The children were wonderful, we certainly do have a talented bunch. I have to extend my thanks to Miss Smart, Miss King, Miss Green and Mrs Alexander for their guidance and support for this production– its these lovely memories which the children will take with them into adult hood. Still talking about Y6, they have a special day at Aylesford Priory on Monday with mass a 11:15am– all parents are invited to the mass which is always a lovely, spiritual experience. Don’t forget the Leavers assembly at 2pm next Friday 19th July followed by the leavers Barbeque in the field, again all are invited more details will follow next week.
Today Y2, Y4 and Y5 are all out at their respective trips so good luck to them– the weather looks very hopeful. On Wednesday all the children in the nursery and Early Years went to Whitstable and had a play on the beach and a paddle in the sea– good fun was had by all and many thanks to the parents who came along and helped as well.
Our new football team that will be representing us next year had a little trial run in a Pro Soccer football tournament in Maidstone on Tuesday and came runners up with the opposing team just slipping a goal in in the last few moments of the final– however this performance bodes well for next year– looking forward to it
Your child has come home today with their report– there is an informal “drop in” for parents if they feel the need to discuss it further on Monday 15th July after school. The children in Y2 and Y6 will receive their SATs results in the report– I can’t go into too much detail at this stage but our results are very pleasing, on a par with last years especially at Year 6 but more details will follow in the next academic year.
Have a lovely weekend Mrs K Sexton
