I’m writing this on Roald Dahl day and everyone looks amazing, I’ve seen some green faced Oompa Loompas and Willie Wonkas as well as lots of other characters. The children all had golden tickets for admission to the Willie Wonka’s Chocolate Factory to sample some hot chocolate and hear some of their favourite Roald Dahl stories. Well done to all of those children and families who went to the trouble of helping their children to dress up and a special thanks to Miss Smart and the rest of the staff team for planning the activities and taking the time to decorate the infant hall and the Y5 and Y6 corridor. Photos are on the website.
Thanks to those parents who attended our housekeeping meetings throughout the week to find out what is happening during the year and meet their child’s new teacher. The class website pages have been updated so please have a look at these. The Housekeeping letters have also been sent out to everyone in Parentpay e-mail . During the meetings parents would have been made aware of our Parents Charter which is just an agreement that we really do need you to support your child at home, hearing reading, supporting with homework and even just making sure that your child is fully equipped with PE kit etc. Thank you also for your support with our “no crisps at snack time” policy. Its fruit, yoghurt, cheese, sliced carrots etc. We would prefer that there were no crisps in school at all especially if there is the chance of winning the healthy lunch box stickers.
We have appointed our prefects for this year and our new head boy Sebastian and new head girl Rose. I know they will all do the school proud. The club letter has gone out today, please return if you wish your child to do any clubs for terms 1 and 2. All clubs will finish at 4:15pm as we are now approaching Autumn
Have a lovely weekend Mrs Kathy Sexton
